Making Project Life Cards

I decided to try my hand at making Project Life cards out of all my scrap paper. I had fun playing with different scraps, tapes and ribbons I had laying around. I tried sticking some things from my whole punch jar to the top of one, I like how it turned out! I enjoyed making these! I think I will defiantly do this more in the future! I am selling these for $0.50 each. I'm adding them to my blog post with all the scrapbooking items I'm selling here. Come check it out, there's still lots of things left. I take Paypal.

Fabric Scrabooks from old pants

I save old clothes for using in my scrapbooks. I just made these fabric scrapbooks out of an old pair of khaki shorts (4 year old size) and old jeans, my size. These were cargo shorts, so they had different size pockets that I used. I love that you can put things in the pockets too, kinda fun! :) I cut strips of the fabric and sewed down the middle of it for the ribbon on the rings and the tabs. I did allot of stitching, which I think added allot to the look of the album, so worth the time. This is the back of the album. I did the pocket backwards, so it looked cute from both ends. This is the denim album from my jeans. I left the pockets whole and put paper from an old manila folder cut to size in the pocket with a tab sewn on from the jeans. I cut out and used some of my favorite and most interesting parts of the jeans. It was really fun to make! I sewed the red "Seven" tag on, to make the back side of this piece more interesting.

Project Life Confetti Pockets

I have seen people make these cute confetti pockets for their PL albums and decided to give it a try. After making several confetti pockets I got the idea to add some other little die cuts and chipboard to them. I think they turned out pretty cute!They are cuter in person with out the glare. I'm excited to make a page and try them out! I may even sell some. I had fun making them!

Painting and Organizing Projects

I got this freebie from my Mother-in-law. Her father actually made it, so it's nice to keep it in the family! These are the before pics of the sewing table he made for his wife. This is the desk after I painted it green, added bead board to the front of the door (easier then making a new door!) I changed out the old knob for a cute glass one and put pictures in the spot where the sewing machine would go. Now I just need to call a few glass places for a scrap the size of my desk! Here's a close up of the pictures in the hole in the desk, I cut cardboard to fit under them and put cute paper behind the pics to cover it up. After a good week of working on my scrap area, it is totally transformed (thanks to my hubby w/the brilliant idea of more storage space)!!! I love having an organized hubby! :) We just took storage we already had, but weren't putting to good use and moved it to the big wall in my scrap space. (This is formerly where I had a big 6' table and was my scrapping space). We moved my computer desk w/the computer where I use to have storage w/my cricut and scrapbooks on it. I'm currently looking for a desk to put in my closet where we now have taken the doors off and this will be my new scrapping space. We moved all my scrapbooks out of boxes and here and there where I had them sprinked onto a bookshelf that was down stairs in the kids room. Now all my scrapbooks are where they can be looked at.
